It’s Going to be Alright

Everything Will Be Alright

Have you ever heard the song, “Every Little Thing” by Hillsong Young and Free (I am going to place the lyrics and YouTube video down below)? It is an amazing, encouraging song that reminded me that everything happening in this life is going to be alright.

I just want to share this song with anyone that is trying to figure out this thing called life, and I want to encourage you that every little thing, every detail, every plan, every situation, every pain, every stress, every loss, every impasse you may find yourself at, everything that seems incomplete, everything that seems impossible to face or handle, that every little and big thing is going to be alright. God has a distinct plan for your life, and I know it doesn’t all make sense yet…the key word is YET, but it will. And the only way you are going to know His plan is if you keep going.

He is not blind nor deaf to where you are or to what you are up against, but He is working things out better than we could ever do on our own. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways on a higher playing field than our ways. Jesus is ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL, ALL WISE! He sees our lives in dimensions and realms that we cannot see or comprehend because we are only seeing from a horizontal view. His promise is that everything concerning us will work out, that every little thing, no matter what it looks like now, is going to be alright.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28

Keep going…Start believing Him…Learn how to trust Him…He has our best interest at heart. I promise the plan God has in place for you is worth it all. God Bless.

[Intro]
Every little thing-ing-ing

[Verse 1]
Your favour waits within the future
My dreams are small compared to Yours
Why should I worry ’bout tomorrow when I know
That all I gotta do is trust You, Lord

[Chorus]
Every little thing is gonna be alright
Every little thing is gonna be just fine
Whether I can see it now
I know You will work it out for good
Every little thing, everything will be alright

[Verse 2]
Behind the scenes and in the details
You plan the perfect way for me
Why would I dwell upon the road’s uncertainties
When all I gotta do is look to You
Yeah, all I gotta do is look to You

[Chorus]
Every little thing is gonna be alright
Every little thing is gonna be just fine
Whether I can see it now
I know You will work it out for good
Every little thing, everything will be alright

[Post-Chorus]
Every little thing, every little thing
Every little thing, everything will be alright

[Bridge: Andy Mineo]
Hey God, I know You don’t need no one to advise You
You probably do a better job running the world than I do
I just thought I’d remind You
I’ve been trying to find You
It feels like Satan working overtime, times two
They say if it doesn’t kill ya that refines you
But I’m trying to live, and that’s bigger than survival
It’s been a long night
It’s been a long fight
So just remind me now
Everything will be alright

[Outro]
Every little thing, every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing, everything will be alright

A Much Needed Pause

As human beings, rest is so important to our lives and I’m not talking about sleep. I know that statement seems like a “duh, of course, it is” moment, but when life is in motion and it does not seem to offer a pause button, true rest seems to fade away into the distance. But its need in our lives never goes away.

The other day, I had been up since about 7:30am. I had spent a little time with God, got dressed and ran out the door. I worked for a couple of hours, then I worked on materials for a ministry event for the following morning. From there I went shopping for a few last minute items at different stores while eating in the car en route from place to place. My mind was so focused on just getting to the next thing; to pause would bring a delay in my agenda for the day, which of course I had no time for. It wasn’t until later that evening I realized how hectic my day had really been. I had one last store to get to and then I’d head home; not to rest of course, but to complete just a few more things on my to-do list.

I had decided to stop for some coffee and it was right before I pulled in, that a thought came to mind about Ruth, a woman in the Bible.

“She came into the field and has remained here from morning till now, except for a short rest in the shelter.” Ruth 2:7b

What wisdom he moved in; but I wrestled with the thought because, hello, I still had stuff to get done.” Then another thought came to take my coffee and go to my favorite place to be with Jesus. And with a slow exhale, I conceded, grabbed my coffee and headed to our place. On the way, He reminded me that the store would still be there and could wait, but our time together could not. And oh, how thankful I am for that rest, because it was in the small 30 minutes I paused with God in the midst of my “oh so busy schedule”, that I found more strength, peace, and joy to finish my duties that day with gladness.

And this my friend, was a good pause; one of tears, prayer and active anticipation to hear the voice of Jesus Christ. The pause grabbed 30 minutes away from my day, but it filled my empty places of exhaustion with strength, weariness with hope and scatteredness with wisdom. Never underestimate time away with God; we never realize how much we need it until we get it and realize how empty we really were. What we are empty of, He pours out generously into our dry places.

No matter how busy we are we must, pause, rest and be refreshed, then repeat whenever you need it. The time given to rest will replenish us with everything we need to finish our day, to get fresh eyes for what’s in front of us, and it will bring peace to our weary souls. And I’m not talking about resting in front of the television or a device of some sort or even being around people that make you laugh, but some real time away. Someone on one time with the One who created you and knows what you need to function at your best.

After my pause, I didn’t even feel the need to rush anymore. I made it to the final store with the ability to really enjoy the trip. I danced my way through the aisles with one earbud in, reasoned with myself on what to get (yes, I talk to myself to work out the kinks hahaha) and I prayed for wisdom when I realized the store didn’t have something I needed for the next day. I even paused for another 15-20 minutes to begin jotting all of this down in my phone. By the time I finished, a new cashier had emerged and I was able to chat with him and found out he had been in a car accident earlier that day. We were able to talk, laugh, and I had the opportunity to give him some encouragement.

Without that pause, I don’t know what mind frame I would have been in going into that final store. I may have been so rushed or I may have missed that perfect moment to encourage someone that needed it. Not only that, but I would have missed the opportunity to enjoy the movements of the rest of my day. I still had things to do, and through Christ, I was given the strength and strategy to accomplish them.

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:39-42

There is always a time and a place to be productive and to handle the responsibilities of life, but we must also know when what seems like productivity has become busy work that keeps us from choosing the better: time with Jesus Christ. Taking pauses with Him has to become the best part of our day. We wouldn’t want to go hours upon hours and days upon days without spending time with those we love, so why do we make it so easy to not spend quality time with Jesus? It doesn’t make sense, yet we do it all the time. Pauses with Him allow us to be strengthened, encouraged, gain strategy, make a greater impact in the world and it brings the balance and perspective we need. So with all that being said, let’s be more conscientious to pause with God, for our spiritual health, mental health, and emotional health. You will thank yourself for it and others will thank you for it too. God Bless!

To Worship You I Live by Israel and New Breed

My favorite part of this song is: “Away, away from the noise, Alone with You, Away, away to hear your voice, And meet with You, Nothing else matters”

Stay with Me by Jekalyn Carr

I heard this song for the first time almost a week ago, and I have listened to it almost every day since.

Jeklayn Carr shares that she desires for God to be the company in her life that never has to go home. It is easy for people to overstay their welcome in our homes, but there are a few people who can stay as long as they like without a complaint from us. This is who I desire Christ to be in the lives of ALL humanity; that He would come into our lives, every day visiting with us, and never feeling that we want Him to leave. Below is the YouTube video of “Stay With Me” by Jekalyn Carr and the lyrics are underneath it. My hope is that this song will bless you in ways you didn’t know you needed and that its lyrics will pull on your heart’s desire for Christ to draw closer and closer to you.

Do you desire that He stay with you?

God Bless.

Stay With Me by Jekalyn Carr

So, this song right here, means a lot to me
And I was traveling and God began to speak to me
He said, “When you think about company, they come over to your house
At some point because they are company, they have to go.”
He said, “But with me,
I want to be the person who can stay with you and
For the rest of your life.”
So, my prayer was to God:
You are the company that never have to leave me
So, I need You to stay with me

How can I live? How can I move?
How can I be, without You?
How can I stand, in the midst of pain?
I can’t go on, without You

You are the company that doesn’t have to go
So, stay with me

I’m broken before You
Please don’t leave ’cause I need You
I’m empty if I don’t have You
So, stay with me
I lift my heart to Thee
You are my high victory
I can’t imagine life without You
So, stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

How can I live? How can I move?
How can I be, without You?
How can I stand, in the midst of pain?
I can’t go on, without You

You are the company that doesn’t have to go
So, stay with me

I’m broken before You
Please don’t leave ’cause I need You
I’m empty if I don’t have You
So, stay with me
I lift my heart to You
You are my high victory
Can’t imagine life without You
So, stay with me
I’m broken before You
Please don’t leave ’cause I need You
I’m empty if I don’t have You
So, stay with me
I lift my heart to You
You are my high victory
Can’t imagine life without You
Stay with me

Can you lift your hands and say: Stay? (stay with me)
Lord, I need You to stay with me (stay with me)
Somebody tell Him, stay with me (stay with me)
Oh, ’cause we need You, Lord (stay with me)
Say, stay with me (stay with me)
You have to  (stay with me)
Oh, stay with me (stay with me)
Yeah, yeah…

I’ll do whatever it takes, to keep You here with me
It don’t matter how much it costs, ’cause I need You here with me
I’ll lay down my will for You, ’cause I need You here with me, oh Lord
I’ll give whatever You require of me, I need You here with me, Lord
So…

Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

Now right here, you ought to open up your mouth
And tell Him how much you need Him
Tell Him how much you need Him tonight, oh

I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You, Lord
I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You
I can’t imagine my life without You

Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

I don’t know about nobody else up in here
But, I need God to stay with me (stay with me)
You oughta, you oughta, you oughta lift your hands
Lift your hands towards heaven
And if it’s your prayer tonight
Open your mouth and tell Him

Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

Lift up your voice, lift up your voice
And let Him know how much you need Him
Let Him know how much you need Him
You don’t have to leave, You don’t have to leave
Stay with me, Jesus, stay with me, Jesus
‘Cause I need You, I need You

I need You, Lord
I’m just wondering if there’s somebody out there
Who don’t mind breaking yourself loose
And crying out to your master, “Here I am, Lord”
Whatever You need me to do
Whatever You want me to do
My answer is yes
My answer is yes
Open up your mouth
Open up your mouth
Lift up your voice and cry out to Him…

Lord, You Are Welcome

“I may be broken, But You are welcome, I may need your healing and I say You’re welcome, I know You’re able, In spite how I feel, And I am depending on Your Word reveal, You are welcome” – ‘You Are Welcome’ by Psalmist Raine

We have to let God into our brokenness. From my own experience with this, I know it’s not an easy thing to do because it can cause us to feel open and exposed (like an open cut). But Who better to be open and exposed to than the One who created us?

Years ago, at a women’s conference, I wrote a letter to God. (I wish I still had it, and I may actually go on a hunt for it.) I don’t remember what I wrote to Him, but I do remember the response to it after it was read to those around me. Someone said, “You trust God with your fragility”. I couldn’t fully grasp it then, but it is now a peace that I am continually learning to stand in. God knows how fragile I am. He is hypersensitive to the cracks and missing pieces of my vessel and He is even more aware of how the cracks came about. And I trust Him, in my fragile state, to love me, to cover me, to fill my empty spaces and to still use me as a vessel for His glory.

Our brokenness is not a deterrent for He to come and reside in us. Our brokenness is not a hindrance for He to use us, but instead, our cracked vessel is the perfect place for a full and illuminating God to reside. The image above reflects exactly what I picture in my mind when it comes to the Spirit of God dwelling within our broken vessel. Let me share a secret with you that Christ shared with me, lean in close: it’s in our brokenness that His grace and mercy is able to shine through and light the way for people to come to Him. It’s our brokenness that shows the world that God accepts broken and tattered people. That perfection and wholeness is not the prerequisite for us to be able to come to Him, but instead, it’s a surrendered heart that He desires. And it’s in our brokenness that the Spirit of God is able to shine through and show as the glue that holds us together.

Brokenness doesn’t cause God to push us away, but when we give our broken selves to Him it causes Him to pull us closer. It causes our vulnerabilities to be fully exposed to Him in ways we aren’t aware of and causes Him to spread His blanket of love over us. It opens us up to be able to experience Him as Daddy, as Abba, Father.

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.” Psalms 51:17 NKJV

Confess your sins before Him. Confess your brokenness to Him and experience His love in ways that are unfathomable. Today, take some time, some real time, to really lay your brokenness down before Him. Pour out your heart withholding nothing from Him, and watch what happens. You are His beautiful broken vessel, pieced together by Him alone.

The song below is one of surrender to God. I pray it becomes your personal confession to God! Lord, You are welcome, have Your way!!!!!

‘You Are Welcome’ by Psalmist Raine

I may be broken
But You are welcome
I may need Your healing and I say You’re welcome
(And) I know You’re able
In spite how I feel
And I am depending on Your Word reveal

You are welcome
You are welcome
You are welcome
(Lord) have your way

You are welcome
You are welcome
You are welcome
Have your way

You are welcome
Welcomed in this place God
You are welcome
Welcome into this broken vessel
You are welcome
Now God I give You permission to have Your way
Have your way
(Ayyyyyyy)

You are welcome
Welcomed into my situation Oh God
You are Welcome
Welcomed into my every being
You are welcome
Now I give You permission to please
You are welcome
