“Everything you have gone through, and everything you are facing now, is the fertilizer to help grow you into your destiny. It doesn’t seem good, but it is a necessary component to help you grow”
The loneliest times in life have the ability to produce the greatest testimonies ever told. There is purpose in everything we go through whether we know it or not. It may not feel good in the moment, but it will eventually become good for where we are headed.
Life has a funny way of not making sense when we want it to. It has a way of knocking us down, tearing us apart, and stressing us out. It has a way of making us feel inadequate and incapable of accomplishing the tasks we have set out to do in our lives. Things happen…plans get ruined, promises get broken, time and time again things fall through, and we’re left wondering how things will piece themselves together.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28
Stop worrying and look to God…trust Him…believe Him. Even if you have no idea how this life could get better, He does. He hasn’t forgotten you, instead, He is already at work piecing together the solution. We are all vessels under construction, and it can get messy sometimes. We are being restored to our former selves, our God-ordained selves. This process to wholeness and restoration can be ugly at times. Think about it: Building a house takes time, and restoring one can take even longer. When someone goes to renovate a house, there are usually hidden things that are not seen. Those issues are not revealed until someone goes deep enough into the process and finds them. If these things aren’t fixed, then the house won’t stand. When people use certain parts of the house, or when the weather gets bad, it will ultimately fall apart and be destroyed.
““Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine [Jesus], and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine [Jesus], and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”” Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV
Jesus is our foundation…we have to let Him build us on Himself! We do not know how important our base is until things in our life get weak. If the foundation of a house falls apart, then so will the entire house. It is the same with people. We fall apart without a solid foundation…believers in Christ and unbelievers in Christ alike. We NEED Jesus to be our foundation. Without Him, we crumble and fall. We accomplish little to nothing that God put us on this earth to accomplish, and our lives in the end serves as unfulfilled.
Knowing God, having relationship with Him, sets us up to be purposeful and fully filled doing even the smallest of things for Him. Even if it seems like you’re messing up at every turn, look to God. Cry out to Him because He hears you; but once you cry out make sure you sit and listen. He always has something to say, but we have to be willing to be still enough to listen then be obedient to what He is saying. It could be as simple as, “Lift your head and smile, it’s going to be okay” or “Stop doing ….. It is bad for you and it keeps bringing you back to this place of sorrow, frustration, destruction and discomfort”.
Heed the voice of God. He loves you, and He has something amazing to say to you and to do in your life. Stop fighting against what He is saying because you don’t want to stop doing what you are doing. He knows better than us. He is already in our tomorrow, so if He says stop, no, go, pause or something else…we have to be willing to listen.
““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV
He knows who you are and the destiny that awaits you! Don’t run from Him, run to Him. His correction is out of love and what He knows is best for you. Heed His voice. Lift your head…He is still at work molding and shaping your life.
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”. Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Be encouraged and continue!!
